outdoor security lights
I'm looking for a good outdoor security light, that won't come on and off at the slightest increase in wind speed, but will be able to detect humans or vehicles in my driveway. Right now I have a "three-bulbed" light, but it's old and i want something new. I've gone onto the Home depot site and Lowes but all they have is the "Heath Zenith" lights, and when I read their reviews...customers hate them.
Would like one with three lights but would settle for one with two if it's a good one.
Any suggestions

Barry there are very few security lights that come with three lights.

This is not what you are asking for, but here is an interesting Solar powered light that might be great in a location with no power

See if you can find a RAB unit. Those are among the better ones.

I had a version found in this link

but it did have the sensor built-in, once I had it properly adjusted it worked well for over 4 years and going strong still. I had four on the house two on the garage one on the porch and one on the side door. All four would turn on as walked around the house at about a 15 ft distance (set the gain really low, about 20% from min level).

A couple of things I noticed once I bought the type that opens at the bottom.

1) No piles of dead bugs in the fixture. Since the bottom is open they would fall out on their own.

2) Easy bulb changes I could reach in from underneath and replace the bulb

3) Easy to clean the glass as well best done when changing the bulb

4) One clear 60w bulb provides good light, but three 40w (120w total) candle type bulbs doesn't provide more light but burns more energy.

I think I got the sensor versions at the HD store for $45 each.

Normally for motion sensor I useally go with RAB unit they seems hold up better than some other cheap brands due the cheap one just simply can't take the surge very well at all.

That above item useally for outdoor but for indoor there are few of them I can use depending on the set up.

Are they expensive???

They are little more expensive than other but for duribltywise they have not much issues with them and I been using RAB products for pretty long time and they are pretty good to me.
