Outdoor receptacle / Garage

Finshed framing a new garage, Decided to wire myself already pulled the permit, my question is I have 2 exterior outlets how far out should i have them stick out? Finish on the garage will be stucco. So do i just mount the box about a half inch out?

Those bubble covers are soooooo 20th century!

Try something for the 21st century: Recessed flush mounted box with in-use cover for stucco: Scroll down to pages 11-12 in the link.

My code book just says they all must be GFCI protected and must have a weather proof cover. It doesn't say nothing about using a metal or plastic device box ..

Yeah but when you have 20 outside outlets I can't afford to buy the expensive recessed boxes
Plus cutting them into my rim joist/side of house would not be fun
