outdoor lights cable cut

I accidentally cut the cable of my Christmas solar lights. I then stripped the four cable ends on each side and rewired them but they don't work. Is there a particular order to wire the four cables?

Are the cables color coded? Did you connect the right wires together?
If they are not color coded, look at both ends where it was cut. You may be able to see the order of the wires that go together. Like a flat cable, you can see the ribs of the outer covering and maybe you can figure out which wire goes with the other. 4 wires for sure has to be connected identicle.

As said above, If you are sure the wires are connected right, it might be the solar panel or related. I hope not.

Do you have a wiring diagram (manual) for the system? Thats where I would start
