Outdoor Lighting Receptable

Hello all, what's a good outdoor box for mounting porch lights, front and back? The light will be under the porch (front and back) but am thinking since its outside the house, some kind of waterproofing is needed?

I will be cutting/drilling holes through metal siding for this so i need to not mess it up.

I remember seeing a bracket/mounting plate that someone posted on here for such lighting but I can't find it anymore. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

On another note, can 10/3 Romex wire be ran through ceiling joists without conduit just like the a 14/2 etc??

Some jurisdictions consider under roof outside wiring as a wet location. Not all. Contact your local building inspector and ask him if they do consider it wet. Under a porch would in my opinion not be a wet location, but flood lights hanging just under the soffit would be wet location.
If you just want to be safe and not call anyone just use a weather proof box. Sometimes called a "Bell" box. It will have threaded holes and will require a cover and gasket. If you need to reccess the boxes then no need for weather proof in your application. Just weather resistant, UL approved fixtures.

Yes, you can run 10/3 as through ceiling joist's without using conduit. It is treated no differently than 14/2 - 12/2 etc....

Try to see if any of these will work for you.

Even the ones with a mounting flange can be retrofitted.
