Outdoor Lighting Hookup Problem

I am installing outdoor low voltage lighting at my home. I went to plug the set in and didn't even think about the type of plug that it had. I have the standard single gang outlet with an weather proof outlet cover on it. The type of plug that this transformer has is too long to fit within the outlet cover and allow it to be closed. Does anyone know of another type of weather proof cover that will work for for this situation? Following is a link that will show a picture of the transformer that I am referring to. Thanks for your help!

The transformer that I am using is 6 in from top to bottom. The cover that I have on my outlet is similar to what you are showing me but is just a single gang cover. The transformer will not fit within the box that you are showing me and allow me to close the top. Any other suggestions. Thanks!

welp, for the cordless phone i put on the pole, i built a small wooden box with a hunk of shingle on top and a rubber sheet 'door'.
maybe something like that? unless it needs to pass a code, in which case, call your local inspectors.

(you'd think the manufacturers would have forseen this and made the darn thing smaller, you know? sheesh!)
