"Opposing" Duplex Outlet

I am looking for an "opposing" 20 amp duplex outlet (if there is such a thing) or something similar. By opposing I mean where one receptacle has the ground on the top and the other receptacle has the ground on the bottom (I have never seen one but wonder if they exist). I have two 90 degree plugs that need to be plugged into on outlet. I have seen outlets that swivel so that the 90 degree plugs don not hit each other but I have only been able to find 15 amp ones. I appreciate any suggestions or info.

It really depends on what else is plugging into that receptical. If it's a low amp draw like a single light then 15A would be ok although I believe not code (refrigerator should be on a dedicated circuit if the plate says so though but IMO that's more of a suggestion). Just because it's on a 20A circuit, the 15A receptical is fine for a fridge. The problem would be if your other plug was for a high draw appliance like a microwave or something.

What's on plug #2 ??

I'd run a seperate circuit then. That really is asking for trouble running both on the same circuit.

I'm over my head on this one so wait for an electrician to give you advice. I think the issue is whether the microwave is a fixed install or counter top. You need to have the max amp draw of both also. If the microwave is running and the frigerator cut's on the defrost cycle it could be over the circuit limit and trip the breaker.

I'm sure someone will be along that can help you more.
