Pools require very special rules. Your calbe should be buried 18" if in conduit. I would run 240 volts. It will be lower current and less line losses. This will definitely require an inspection from ESA.
Here is some info from the esa site.
Buried wire guidlines.

The Code requires a minimum horizontal separation between the inside walls of a pool and underground low voltage (less than 750 volts) electrical conductors of 1 M (39") where the conductors are buried in an electrical conduit, or 1.5 M (5') where the conductors are buried directly in the earth.
Note- the same clearances are required for buried communication and CATV conductors.
