Ontario Canada Electrical Code Q
No code against it but it needs support at least every 4.5 feet.

Ontario Canada Electrical Code Q
Where I work I noticed a fire sprinkler that is run along an I beam and they actually used some sort of C clamp to support it. I imagine something like this may be acceptable for electrical as well. Maybe a piece of wood securely C clamped then staple to piece of wood. Not sure if this is the officially accepted way though.
