Online training courses
I am a new member here and would like to say this site is an invaluable resource for trade knowledge and advice. I have been in the electrical field roughly 4 years now, mainly residential wiring as well as some commercial and have just now discovered this site. All my experience has been field experience. I have learned a lot from different electricians i have worked with over time. I have been studying the 2005 NEC book and various workbooks based on the NEC for the past year or so to prepare for my journeymens license test, and alas I am still not ready. I am interested in signing up for an online training course in the near future to further my education in this field. I was interested in others opinions who have done an online training course, on which ones are good, which ones to stay away from, success rates, and a concensus of the overall experience.
Thanks :)

p.s. I am only interested in responses from users who are not financially affiliated (marketers) with any of these sites

My older brother is Mike Holt and he gives me kick backs.

Just kidding. Bar none, the best site is He sells books that are incredible. The grounding and Bonding book is awsome as well as all the rest. Register on the code forum, peruse the posts and learn , learn, learn.

Edit to add: where ya from?

Yeah the site is good. I ordered the 2005 Journeyman Review book and practice exam combo. Pretty good deal considering most electrical books alone cost about 80 bucks a pop. Btw Andy I am from DE originally, which is where i currently reside, although i have moved around alot because I enjoy new places and faces:scooter: :euro:

Have you or anyone you know ever taken this Tom Henry's course? Would be interested to hear any feedback on it. Thanks for the link
