OLDER HOME, 100 amp box etc..
I have purchased an older home with a 100 amp box with 7 breakers. We expereince surges often, from bright to dim. In the kitchen is a dual light fixture, but only one bulb and a glass fuse screwed into the other light bulb fixture... What is this for? A second light bulb won't work, and the first one stops without the fuse as well?? This is just the beginning, any help would be appreciated.. thanx..Rick

Well the obvious answer is that those two fixtures are wired in series, somehow. As for why, your guess is as good as mine. Maybe a misguided scheme to make bulbs last longer?
It might help to get a pro in to make a list of all the bad stuff to give you a starting point to work from. Sounds like you have your work cut out for you. |
