I'm installing a 2 gang metal "old work" box in my remodel. Long story short - I had to tear out the wall surface (fiberboard) I'm going to replace it with drywall.
Do I have to leave it open for my rough-in inspection? Or do I just throw up the new drywall since technically I fished the wire before I tore the old stuff out (how's that for a PITA). If I should leave it open for inspection; how do I mount the "old work" box for the proper depth? Do I just bite the bullet and get a new work box with a bracket?
So, I am a can't see the forest for the trees kind of gal. But, I can't figure out how I want to go with this. And I can't stop obsessing about it.
If I could only remember to THINK about what I was doing before I did it.
