Yes ...critical what inPhase mentioned about the bond from the neutral terminal to metal of the dryer frame. When you have that darn much metal it is great that you have the option to get the neutral bond removed from the dryer frame. Glad you have that 4 wire existing. Diagram (s) below. Click the diagrams to enlarge. This diagram is meant as a guide and does not preclude electrical common sense. If in doubt secure the help of a knowledgable person. The neutral/chassis bonding means varies from dryer to dryer two examples are shown below, the bottom diagram shows the strap being removed and then utilizing the the fastening point of the strap to the metal frame to secure the new ground wire in the 4 wire dryer cord. The task here if it is not obvious is to not have the metal frame of the dryer connected electrically to the neutral terminal and thus to the neutral of the power supply. The 4 wire cord and four wire supply allows you to accomplish this modification.
