Old House needs to be "upgraded"???

Not sure what that means but an old (3 story 1925 victorian built in 1915) that I am looking at had an inspection come back and say that the electricl system needs to be "upgraded".

I was there yesturday, all the wiring that I can see is normal 12/2 "romex" and the breakbox is standard breaker's. It actually looked to me like it had been upgraded.

What would this normally mean and what type of cost would be associated with this?

This is typical of the vague nature of home inspections. HI's have to find things, yet they can be very vague about what they find. Most are deathly afraid of being sued, so they do not get very specific about certain things, electrical being one of them.

So to answer your question, only the HI who did the "inspection" can answer it, because only he knows what he meant.
