off/on switch

i have a piece of shop equipment that has an inline off on switch on it that went bad, i got a new switch, under the cover on the new switch it has 2 set screws, my question is, i have 2 ends of a cord, with white -black and green wires,on each end, which of the three wires goes under the set screws, i know it sounds like a dumb question. thanks, tcale@aol.com if you can reply, thanks in advance, tom

off/on switch

Connect the greens together.
Connect the whites together.
Connect the blacks to the switch.
