non-metal conduit for oven installation?

I'm installing a new electric range in my kitchen and it will be "hard wired" (if that's the correct term...). That is, I'll wire it directly to the incoming 220 V line, instead of plugging it in. I'm planning to use some non-metallic liquid-tight conduit that I have left over from some other job, and I'm wondering if this is OK. The reason I ask is because I've only ever seen metal conduit used in this kind of situation. Thanks.
