no power to light switch and all breakers good

The light went out in the laundry room all by itself. At first I thought it was the bulb no new bulb ..... no light. Checked powere to light switch.... no power. went to breaker box.....flipped all breakers.........still no power at switch. what could be the problem. I also took my meter and checked ALL the outlets in the house......37 of them they all work... including all the GFI's in all the bathrooms and near all the sinks. I am stumped what coould be the problem?????

How many wires are in the box with the switch? How are the wires in the box of the non-working light hooked up?Be careful with this the power is still on.

Sounds like an open connection. Possibly in the switch box or the fixture box.

its a box with two switches one is for the fan the other is for the light, there are 4 wires two to each switch.

You have a fan in the laundry room? That's rare. Be careful....if you're checking for power at the switches with a meter and you don't know how to do it properly, you're not going to show having power. In a case like yours, it sounds like the wires in the switch box are switch legs, and a neutral won't be present in the switch box. I use a grounded extention cord plugged into a receptacle on a another circuit in the house. With a meter, test between the (round) grounded terminal of the ext cord to the 4 wires in the switch box individually. If no power is present in the switch box, the problem probably lies at the connections in the fixture.
