No Power to Light Switch

Hello,
I have an old house which has a light/ ceiling fan. i have two wires in the switch box, one supply line, one feed line that runs to the fan. tested with voltmeter and there shows no power in the box, tested all breakers all show a reading of 119-122... all other lights/ outlets in the house work... no loose wires at the box...what can i be missing?

What did you use for a neutral when testing at the switch box.
From what i can read there is no neutral at the switch box.

Two wires or two cables? If only two wires then go to the fixture and look for power or loose connection.

two cables with one wire in each....i ran a connector extension from the ground on the voltmeter to ground in the breaker box. i tested the fixture thinking that they may have ran the power through fixture and just looped it down to the switch, however there is no power in the fixture which also has two cables with one wire each, and i used the fixture's ground to ground that testing. i got a small reading on one of the wires of like 3.4 which i didn't think much of.

There is two breaker boxes in the house, the original and a new one that the previous owner installed for a new addition, i recentley had someone add a breaker for one section of the addition that wasn't finished that i completed. nothing is disconnected in the new box as well as the old box. and considering the old wiring in the switch i would be one to presume that it is a breaker in the old box, but they all test fine...

You're confusing me with cables and wires......

A 14/2 romex wire will have 3 strands in it ...black, white, and bare ground.

When you look in the switch box, how many 14/2 romex wires do you see?
When you look in the ceiling box, how many 14/2 romex wires do you see?

Do you see any romex wires that have 4 strands? black,white,bare and red??

it does not have 14/2 romex wires. it is an old house with old wiring. one black supply with a copper strand, and one black feed with a copper strand.

believe me.. this is as frustrating and confusing as anything as anything i've worked on...

It doesn't sound like you have a feed anywhere.
One of those boxes should have 2 wires.

Power into the box - feed or switch/leg going out.

Let's get some terms correct.
A 14/2 is a cable with 3 wires in it, one black wire, one white wire and one bare wire.
