two cables with one wire in each....i ran a connector extension from the ground on the voltmeter to ground in the breaker box. i tested the fixture thinking that they may have ran the power through fixture and just looped it down to the switch, however there is no power in the fixture which also has two cables with one wire each, and i used the fixture's ground to ground that testing. i got a small reading on one of the wires of like 3.4 which i didn't think much of.
There is two breaker boxes in the house, the original and a new one that the previous owner installed for a new addition, i recentley had someone add a breaker for one section of the addition that wasn't finished that i completed. nothing is disconnected in the new box as well as the old box. and considering the old wiring in the switch i would be one to presume that it is a breaker in the old box, but they all test fine...
