I'm glad that someone mentioned the light bulb!
If the switch is improperly wired, and is connected on the neutral side of the feed, then you will not get any voltage at the switch (on or off) if the light bulb is burned out!

sorry guys i didn't answer back sooner, busy working. i still having had a time to look at the problem, but i got some good answer from you guys, i will have to look at the light fixture connection, and just in case i will go get another switch, but don't think it is the switch. since no power going to the switch box. so will check the light fixture like i read in one of the past post. i am off this weekend so i will work on it. thanks guys

well thanks all you guys for your suggestions. i fix the problem i had to remove the marrettes (3 of them) and found this paste like stuff, at first i thought it could be tape that some how melted but i know that it doesn't, lol, why would they use thing like that and what is it anyways. anyways i cleaned it out and put new marrettes and voila it works. so thanks for suggesting to check the light fixture. now i got another problem nothing to do with electricity it is my fu**ing foundation it is crack i already posted a thread for that.
