No power in bathroom

I'm buying a house and I've noticed that there is no power whatsoever in the bathroom. I've checked the breakers, I've tripped the the reset button on the outlet in the bathroom (It's the only outlet that has the reset button, I've looked EVERYWHERE) I have no clue what it could be. Power works everywhere except the bathroom. Any ideas?

Your problem is to general to diagnose, could be anything from a loose connection from a feed of another plug, to the plug not even wired at all. Could be possible that the plugs are on a switch and has to be turn on in order to have pwr at the plug in. Seen this many a time. maybe you have to turn bathroom light on in order to get plugs on. ( the plug ur referring to is a GFI which has a test switch on it.)

Are there anymore outlets in the bathroom besides the GFI ? If so are they working as well?

Guess you cant really do much of an investigation if this is a house your looking at to buy for you may have to trouble shoot and take apart the plugs and trace the routes to see where the problem is.

No power in bathroom

There are no other outlets in the bathroom. There is 2 entrances into the bathroom (1 from master bedroom and 1 from hallway) and all light/vent switches going into the bathroom don't work.
I have full access to the house so I can diagnose it with some help! thanks.

No power in bathroom

I would ask the seller to repair!

Jb is correct, ask seller to fix or use the problem as a bargaining leverage on the house cost. Although you have full access to house your best of not to touch anything as this can back fire on you and you will end up footing the bill to the problem. My advice is dont touch at all , there is a chance of a liability issue if you tamper with the electrical.

Trouble shooting is like jumping in a pool of water, you can get in over your head very quickly.

There is another GFCI on the circuit. Could be in another bathroom, outside, in garage, in basement etc.
Ask seller to repair.

You going to have to disassemble the GfI plug in, light switch and the light to see what wires are located there. What your trying to find is the Feed to the bathroom and go from there.
