good morning to you all.
Sorry for mistake in my writing I'm French from Montreal Quebec. Woke up middle of the night to go to bathroom Notice light on the (men this is hard for me had to google to find what The fan on top of the stove was call ) fan hood was out.Check the breaker it was on switched it on and of,no luck. Refergirator is on that circuit need milk for my cofee Back to the kitchen I turn on one of the element on the stove and light on the Hood and the refregirator were flickering. Wath is going on. Verry verry basic knowledge in electricity I'm in and appartement building 2 unit and a hair salon downstairs Witch in need to go trough to get acces to the main panel (breaker box is in the appartement) It's a 100amp with 2 big fuse. Last year one of the fuse was bad due to bad connection Did it again a few times ,got fed up went and bought a box And a 100 amp breaker but the owner never put it up When ever that fuse use to blow I ended up on one phase And lights were dim thought out the house witch is not the case Now. So must be another problem, no idea what it can be. Will use and extension cord for now to give power to the fridge It's 4.30 am can't do nothing for now. Bare with me guys it took me 10 minutes to whrite this. Thanks. |

I know but the land lord is off on vacation in Europe
And wouldn't do anything anyway,I bought a box and 100 amp breaker to replace that old box with the 2 Big fuse gave it to him and he never put it on I still want to find out what's going on,I need that fix ASAP If I do find out and fix it myself more knowledge For me By the way the dryer has not enough power to turn on Just and humming sound. So it could be that one of the fuse blew again ,so I end up on one phase again Last time it happend all light in the house were dimmed That is not the case now,I have full power to the rest of the house. |

Your landlord legally has to fix it as soon as possible. If the salon is Working fine then its most likely the upstairs service that's messed up. There's many places you can report this to. You need an electrician there as soon as you can get one.

The best answer is you should get the electrician to come out and replace the panel this is the safest way to do this. However., you should talk to your landlord first before you do this otherwise report this mess to the inspector they will say something about this mess. Which that will force the landlord to do the repairs. And your building is both commercal and apartment so it have to be done by electrician there is no other way around. Merci, Marc

Oh, oui ... Montréal. Si tout cela échoue, descendre à Sainte-Catherine et boire quelques bières.

Vous n'avez pas de vin au déjeuner? Ils le font en Espagne. Je pensais que le vin français a bu toute la journée?

I'm amazed I remember enough French from school that I actually halfways understood that. Well that and the fact we had three t.v channels and one was French as a kid
