No ballast in 48 inch fluorescent fixture.

Okay, so I went back and checked everything out again, and this time I checked every light, looking for ballasts... also as I come in, it was mentioned that other fluorescent lights were flickering in another room...

Took apart the lights and found the ballasts!

There are two ballasts in one light and none in the other... one is the 'master' ballast and the other is the 'slave' ballast that serves the other light... My C-10 told me this might be a possibility or it might be a bank of ballasts somewhere else...

So I got all the ballasts needed for both rooms (1 master and 2 slaves; 2 overheating and 1 buzzing) and everything works great.

Thanks for all your help everybody!

Sure we are glad to help you with it.

However if you run into any more ballast repairs make sure you buy the ballast disconnect plug { I know they are required in 2008 NEC } if they are not required but it will be nice to have it.

I have heard and I allready experinced with ballast shocks if not carefull { it don't matter which voltage you are dealing it will get ya }

Merci,Marc
