New light switch is driving me nuts

The motion switch shouldhave one wire as the line and one as theload, connect white to the load and blacks to the line, it wont work if opposite

New light switch is driving me nuts

The green and bare wire both are connected to the ground wire. One of the switch blacks is connected to the bundle of blacks. The other switch black is connected to the white that was connected to the old switch.

New light switch is driving me nuts

This is an old thread but I wonder if the problem was with the ground (but I'm just a newbie.)

Step 2 in the document below says the device won't function if it is not grounded, and the original switch didn't connect to ground and so maybe the ground at the box was no good! Just a thought.
