Question

New and informed..


Just joined after looking for a solution to a wiring issue i was having on a project im helping a friend with..Wiring a NEW fan to an existing hot..Im going to try to run it to the garage door opener power above the garage..Im assuming< Hmmm :O) that its a dedicated line and can handle the ceiling fan 14/2 im running to it???

It was meant as a joke,Im actually unsure at this point,But in this attic there are no other clear choices and in one of the threads here this was an option (Garage door opener line)

Do you know what the fan requires, how many watts it draws?

I dont,Its a standard fan with no light kit..I think its standard,Im home now but when i get back there i can check it out? Ive done several fans in the past,But those were standard drill through the header to the switched outlet type installs,This is a vaulted ceiling and when i drilled through found ANOTHER cross member of 2by below about 5 ft down,so abandoned that...
