Need wiring help with a bathroom exhaust fan

I'm trying to replace our exhaust fan with a NuTone 769RFT. The instructions assume you're wiring it with Romax 12-2 (hot, neutral and ground) which is pretty straight forward. The problem for me is the lead is 14-3 (black, red, white and ground). The fan needs to be wired so both the light (white plug) and the fan (black plug) come on together. The switch is single-pole.

So I just need to know which wires to pair up together. Below is a picture of the wiring harness.

The black plug is for the fan and has black, green and white wires.

The white plug for the light as blue and white.

Sounds like it was cabled to allow for separate switching of fan and light.
Connect the whites to the white.
Connect the green to the bare.
Connect the black and blue to the black.
If the fan/light don't work then connect the black and blue to the red wire.

Thanks Joe, that worked.

Like Joe said you could put a double switch where your single pole switch is and then you would be able to leave your fan on while the light is off.
