need power source


installing new light and switch and only power source is a switch loop. can i jump power off the existing light fixture to create a new power source for the new fixture and switch

only if you plan on never turning switch #1 off

Yes, and this is what you were told in the other thread as well. The mods will shut you down for double posting. And Johnnyboy's answer is misleading because he probably didn't read the first post by you.

But yes, you can do what you suggest.
