Need an outlet on my deck.

I'm looking to install an outlet on my deck for my gas grill. What supplies would I need to install it in the floor of the deck?

You'll need to run metal or plastic conduit to make sure it's within code, and it will need to be GFCI. Brackets holding the conduit in place. Anything that is run below ground needs to be via a conduit or water proof, same for the outlet.

IMHO you're asking for trouble. Water will eventually get into the rec., even if the deck is covered....obviously water in a receptacle is bad

What can I use for a real clean look? The grill is directly opposite the house.

The deck is about 5' off the ground. Do I need to run conduit under the floor joists? Or just staple the wire?

Either conduit or just wire is OK. You will have to use UF cable if just wire. "W" rated conductors if in conduit, or just sleive the UF.
Floor mounting a receptacle outdoors is a BAD idea. I would mount it to the nearest post. Just keep it low. Also, use an "in-use" cover, that you can close when sonething is plugged in.

Personally, I would use PVC Non-Metallic Schedule 80 Conduit, with at least a 6-12" height above the deck. Make sure that you attach it to either a post, or the outside wall of the house. Also, make sure that you use a GFCI outlet when wiring it.

If it is beyond your scope, you may want to pay the little extra to have an electrician run the wiring, and connect to the breaker panel, and outlet. The running of the conduit, you can pretty much do yourself.
