Need help wiring 2 motion lights off one swithc

I have an existing motion light running off of a single pole switch. I want to add a second light using the same power source, but that will operate via motion detection independently of the first light.

The first light is run with black/white/ground so I tied the white to white, black to black of the second light to the first light and all of that to the corresponding colors of the power source (so there are 3 white and 3 black wires in one wire nut). The problem is that the first light works properly, but the second light just stays on all the time, regardless of whether it dectects any motion...thoughts?

Thank you.

That likely has nothing to do with the source wiring, which sounds correct. Probably a problem with settings or the electronics of the motion circuit.

check the settings on the light sensors, they are adjustable for sensitivity, full on etc usually on the back of the sensors.
