The house I referred to with the fountain is a $500,000 house. Now I know that gets you 800 square feet in California, but where I am, that is definitely upper bracket and should not really be built to minimum code.
no disagreement there but unless called out on the plans, a customer is going to get the minimum. my house (i am not the original owner) has an outdoor receptacle in the front entry up by the soffit, for plugging in christmas lights. not required by code and must have been called out on the plans.
That would depend on the customer. A half a mil house doesn't necessarily mean its quality.
And these aren't.
The problem is most of the residents are younger professionals who don't know any better. It is a bigger house than they ever though they would own so they buy it and then find out that the smaller house they grew up in was built better.
