my outside a/c unit does not work

I need some help its very hot and I don't even want to imagine sleeping in this hot weather without a/c. I noticed a funky smell coming from outside I checked and it had smoke coming out its a Sunday so most of electricians don't work and besides they are very expensive. What should I do???

You have given absolutely no information for us to go off of. You don't even know if its electrical related.

Turn the breaker off in the main panel and call an A/C guy first thing in the morning.

The smoke is already out. Not a good sign.

I'd be making friends with someone at an ice plant. Get several large blocks of ice, and a box fan. Set the fan to blow air over the ice, while you stand at the downwind end....
