MR16 12Volt lamps

I have two low voltage recessed fixtures that came with MR16, 50 watt,12 volt lamps GU5.3, 2 pin base. Is it safe to use a MR16, 20 watt, 12 volt lamp in the fixtures?

Thank you,
Mike

MR16 12Volt lamps

Lower wattage. I don't see an issue. It will be less heat.

If anything it would make the fixture, wiring and holder last longer due to less heat stress.
