motor direction

I recently replaced a hvac blower motor located in a convector. It is a 3 speed 110 v motor, direct drive with the squirrel cage attached. The motor can go clockwise or counter clockwise. It is spinning the wrong way. Turning the cage around does not help. Is there a way to change the rotation of the motor? Thanks.

What's the make and model#? Perhaps we could get a wiring diagram from the factory.

The motor is a AO Smith 3 speed 1/30 hp, 120v, direct drive with a permanent split capacitor. Model is #9643. There are red, blue, yellow. blk. and white leads.

from AO Smiths website, it cannot. It is listed as a ccwse motor. (that's counter clockwise shaft end). If it was reversible, they list is as rev.

There may be 4 short wires that are connected to each other near the top. These need to be disconnected and reconnected in a different configuration, that diagram is on your motor. At least that's what I had to do.

Try swapping the black and red wires. Another words move the black to where the red is, and the red to where the black is.
