Any electrical supply house will have them.

Do you already have the proper ballast for that wattage (175 w) of mercury lamp?

Usually it is best to buy a complete yard light kit to be sure you get a proper ballast and lamp socket. Then use the loose lamp you have as a spare. You can eviscerate the fixture to remount the components in a fixture or housing of your own choice.

Well, he is asking about mogul base sockets, but I am not sure about the lamps. I believe the ones I get are now called "multi-vapor", not mercury vapor.

I know there are couple big box store still selling MV bulbs but the slection is pretty limited so they don't stock too many on the shelf at all.

The electrical supply centre may stock it but most case they will allready phase it out as well.

But if your MV luminaire is shot like ballast is history you can not get new MV luminarie anymore you only can get them in MH {Metal Halide } or SCFL { super compact flourscent } or HPS { High Pressure Soduim } The MH and SCFL is white on colour while HPS is orangeish colour if the colour is not critical then HPS will be good choice but if you need pretty true colour then MH or SCFL will work very well.

But only one small qurik with SCFL is very cold weather some of them will NOT lit up at all espcally if colder than 0F {I know couple can lit up at -20F but it will be pretty dim unless you leave them on 24/7

Merci.
Marc
