i jusr installed a meter main combo and i removed the divider . ? is ..is the divider necessary to pass installation.

I would say yes. Removing the divider probably violates the UL listing. Red tag! Do what it takes to move the conduit/wire etc over into the correct wiring compartment so the divider can stay.

when you say divider, so you mean the partition that is used to seperate the incoming lines from the "panel" section if the meter is UG fed?

is your UG or OH fed and is there any part that now allows the service feeders to comingle with any other wiring? If so, it is a huge no no.

Even if not, I would think that cows reply would also be applicable but an inspector may not be too concerned with it.

yes it is underground fed. Everything is already set but i guess i need to move it best i can feed is coming up on rite hand side and divider and pvc for home entrance on left were divider is

If this metermain has the meter on the left, and the main on the right, you cannot feed IN the right and OUT the left. The left portion has a separate cover which is locked down by the utility.

the meter is on top and the main disconnect is on bottom. there are 3 ko's in bottom of can. the underground feed is coming from the right hand side and the home feed is to the left. so......i installed to pipe for the UG to the R and feeder to panel L, promblem is divider for primary is to left. any suggestions.....orjust tear everything down and start again

Well, hopefully it isn't too big of a deal to change things around. You have to have the service feeders seperated from the panel/main disco section. An inspector should not pass it if the feeder is allowed to comingle with any other power.

anything now would be an alteration to the UL lsiting and would not be acceptable. You need to return the meter/panel to original configuration and use it as designed.
