Meter base for duplex

Hello Guys,
I would like to convert a rental property into a duplex. My power company (Dominion Power) can add a 2nd meter, but that I need to check for "split wire" prior to them coming out. Please advise!

Thank you!

There is no need for a second meter if you don't rewire the entire property.
