mercury light wont work

sue gagas Newbie   Join Date: Nov 2010 Posts: 1	mercury light wont work after a very windy overnight, the mercury light on the pole outside wont work. current is there but five diffrent bulbs wont light up. what am i missing?

nap You talking to me?     Join Date: Dec 2007 Location: sw mi Posts: 5,407	mercury light wont work hard to say. maybe bad ballast; bad photocell; bad connection; bad ignitor. Without checking it, hard to say. are you sure you have the proper lamp? what is printed on the lamp, both new and old.
