maytag top load washer not spinning at times
I do not know that I am familiar with that model specifically, but try this. I believe that you may find 2 screws on the front panel, not visible at first glance, but tucked under a "roll", near the bottom of the machine. With the power OFF, remove those screws, and pull the bottom of the panel toward you. Once you pull it out a bit, you should be able to release it from the clips at the top of the machine. Now, if I am thinking right, you should have access to the motor and belt(s), and will see that the motor runs both the drum and the pump. Remove the belts, and check that the springs on the motor are working. You should be able to move the motor toward the center of the machines, but the springs should pull it back, which tightens the belts. If this checks out, my suggestion would be to invest in a belt or belts.
