Question

Which low voltage wire

Recently I had new garage doors installed professionally.
They did not hide the low voltage wiring. After spending all day fishing new 20 gauge low voltage wire behind the drywall I find it is multistrand wire whereas the original is solid. Is it OK to use multistrand low voltage wire (as I do on my boat ) or is there some reason I must use single strand (solid) wire ?

You will be fine using the wire you ran.

Thank you. I didn't want to cover up the holes in the drywall only to find I should have used a solid wire.
