Low voltage repair

What is the best way to repair low voltage wiring underground (butt connectors, wire nuts, heat shrink)? The wire is for low voltage landscape lighting.

Splice kits are available for underground splicing. These usually consist of set-screw lugs and heat shrink. For low-voltage, I don't see why butt splices and heat shrink wouldn't work. Maybe even a dose of silicone after it is heat shrinked.

Use standard wire-nuts, and then fill with hot-glue ... :whistling2:
