Hi all. I was wondering if anyone could tell me where I can find a push button to use for my garbage disposal? Most of the time, garbage disposals are wired to a switch somewhere on the wall near the sink. I'd prefer just to have a small button to push that I can mount into the front side of my sink cabinet.
Ideally I'd like to push the button to turn it on and push to turn it off (instead of just holding it down to run). Does anyone know where I can find something like this?
Sorry, wasn't thinking price but showing technically they market push buttons for the disposals. ($46 bucks on Amazon) Paying for the fancy top mount trimmed out look.
but google "push button switches" and tons pop up...
I'll try searching for that. I was finding lot's of push button switches, but they were all only rated for a small number or amps. I'll see what I can find by Googling that.
Why not? I don't need a full sized light switch. I'm looking for something small to mount in the cabinet under the counter top. I don't want a full light switch box in there.
Unless this is going to be hidden totally inside the cabinet where you have to open the door to access it, I think it's an awful idea. Little kids love to push buttons.
I agree. BAD idea from the onset. They are usually put on the wall above the countertop for good reason. Besides kids, I'll bet you'll turn it on by accident just by bumping into it while near the sink.
