I agree with elementx440. These are designed to run on low voltage DC so you'll need a power supply. You say "I am looking for building custom cabinet with LEDS." Is the application under cabinet lighting for say a kitchen? If so, I've had great success with mini-track and xenon bulbs. Cold cathode would be another idea if energy savings are the primary concern. Simple hockey-puck halogen lighting is yet another cheap solution. The point is, try not to be seduced by this person's marketing scam (did I say "scam?" I meant to say "scheme").
