Looking for Custom Cabinet with LEDS

Hi,
I am looking for building custom cabinet with LEDS. Has anyone heard of high power leds such as the ones found here: http://www.plasmaled.com/high_power_module.htm

Regards,
Mike

i'm weary of anyone's first post that contains a sales link... darn spammers... anyways,

$15 a piece for one LED and some wire? That's a rip, no power supply either? You can pickup all sorts of LEDs from ebay for pennies a piece... just as bright, I've bought many.

I put white ones in my boat to see at night, I got some neat "black light" UV ones for stereo equipment... $15.00 buys a bag full of those little suckers.

First of all, what the he** does plasma have to do with LED's? Answer: Nothing but it sounds really cool.

Secondly, nice photography.

I agree with elementx440. These are designed to run on low voltage DC so you'll need a power supply. You say "I am looking for building custom cabinet with LEDS." Is the application under cabinet lighting for say a kitchen? If so, I've had great success with mini-track and xenon bulbs. Cold cathode would be another idea if energy savings are the primary concern. Simple hockey-puck halogen lighting is yet another cheap solution. The point is, try not to be seduced by this person's marketing scam (did I say "scam?" I meant to say "scheme").

Take care and good luck,
Jimmy
