Limit to how many wires can be run throught a joist?

Is there a limit to how many 12/2 wire can be run through a 3/4" hole drilled in my ceiling joists? Is 3 or 4 ok?

Code does not directly address the number of cables that can pass thru a hole.Look at this thread Allowed to run more than one romex cable through a single hole in a joist?

Up to FOUR 12/2 cables can be run without regard for ANY derating, if this is even an issue in the first place.
Sometimes I feel like if I answer any more questions it is like someone trying to climb over a fence to jump off a bridge and me giving them a boost.
