Lights for a shower...

We have a shower with a roof the type that's the wall material formed up and over the shower....and have decided to put some sort of lighting into the shower roof, as it's really dark.

I'm at a bit of a loss as I don't have first hand knowledge of what light style looks good installed and is functional. I will tie into the exhaust fan circuit so the light(s) will be on when the fan's running and will replace the ceiling fan breaker with a GFCI.

What's your thoughts?

Ceiling fan? Do you mean exhaust fan? Please describe this "roof" in more detail.

Usually shower lights are either recessed fixtures with an enclosed cover or integral exhaust fan/lights.

Yes it is an exhaust fan with a light. Here's a link to the tub/shower.

Do you have access above the shower enclosure? You may be able to mount a recessed fixture. You may also want to look into low voltage or LED lights that are approved for wet locations.

I do...it's completely open....I've been looking at some of the recessed...I haven't run across the LED versions yet...you wouldn't have a link would you?

Make sure the light you choose is UL listed for wet locations. That will dramatically reduce the selection available.
