Lights keep tripping

Hi
My lights keep tripping in my unit as soon as I turn them on. What can be causing this and how dangerous is it?
Thanks

Is it all the lights in the unit or just one room?

Are these incandescent lights. If not, try some incandescent lights to check for bad neutral high/low voltage problems (the lights unusually dim or bright).

Or measure the voltage.

Yes it's dangerous
You have a short somewhere.
If you don't have safe DIY skills in electrical call the electrician.

You said "unit" .......call the landlord

Did you do some electrical work of your own just before this happened?
