my son went to turn on the lights in the room and there was a bright flash as if the light bulbs had burnt out but now the lights will not come on. This is in a ceiling fan in the bedroom. I have tried changing all the bulbs but still nothing. The ceiling fan itself still works but not the lights. Any suggestions on how to fix this?
May have been a loose connection in the light kit that burned through. Kill the power and replace the light kit.
Some fans have a built in light kit that can not be replaced.
Before changing the light kit, turn off the power and bend the center tabs of the sockets down a bit. Not likely that several would need this all at once, but you never know.
