Lighting upgrade - type of lighting

In one of my rooms, I have a roof fan with 4 75w incandescent lights attached which also have a dimmer.

I like to replace 1 of those incandescent bulbs with a fluorescent bulb (and disable the other 3 with duds). Last time I did that, I think due to the dimmer switch, the fluorescent bulb immediately burned out as I turned it on and there was a horrible smell. I don't know what the watt conversion should be between incandescent and fluorescent, I'm guessing 60 watts should be fine?

Would any of these lights work:

What do you think about "full spectrum lights" and also bluemax lights ( Are they better than "regular" fluorescent lighting (mainly for reading)? Do these lights leak gas, is it toxic?
