You need three way switches for the kitchen lights
You can bypass the switch for the tv.
Remove the wires on that switch, wire nut them together, and put the switch back to amaze and baffle friends and family!

Three way switches are needed. Repalce them one at a time and test before changing the other one.

Make a note of which wire is on the common screw. That is the important one. It needs to go on the common screw of the new switch. The common screw might not be in the same position on the new switch as the old switch. Common screw will be black in colour and maybe marked COMMON on the back of the switch.
