Light switch wires


Right ok! I have removed a light switch what is 2 way but only using it as one way, the only wire what were connected to comm terminal were 2 red wires twisted together, why is this?? As i want to replace this switch!

Most likely one red wire is power and the other red wire continues on to power something else like an outlet or another light.

Light switch wires


Only put one conductor under a screw head. If you need to connect more than one you need to pigtail.
