Light Switch Problem

Wondering if there is an easy fix for the following...

My bathroom has 2 switches for the lights installed. One switch controls the lights above the sinks. The 2nd switch controls the main light/fan/vent and a recessed light above the tub.

I want to switch the light above the tub to turn on with the lights above the sinks and have the main light/fan to turn on, on it's own.

I took off the switch plate and it appears that the there aren't two lines coming into the 2nd switch, which makes me think that the two lights are connected directly and then one comes down to the switch. If this is the case, is there any way to accomplish what I am trying to do without having to run new wire (because I have no idea how to do this without ripping out the drywall)?

I don't think there is but figured I would ask.

Thanks for any comments.

There don't need tobe two lines on the second switch. You just need a seperate line going to the fixture. Can you post a pic of the switch box showing the wires inside the box?

Each switch has two black lines and a ground. It appears as though there is a black coming in for power and another going up to the light. Would you agree that the only solution is to run a separate line up to the tub light?

I am pretty certain that the 2nd switch has power coming to it then a line up to the main light/fan and then from there a line to the tub light. It's going to have to stay that way if there is nothing left to do other than run another line (cause I have no idea how to do that and don't have the money to spend on that right now).

Thanks for your comments/help

Akent,
It sounds like you have just that...3 wires.
Feed in, feed out to sink light, and feed out to fan.
If there is a fourth wire, with the black wires spliced, with a short piece going to a switch, you may be in luck. Or if by chance they ran a 3 wire up to fan (there will be a red wire in the switch box) you may be in luck.
Double check and let us know, or take a pic.
We'll take it from there.
