Light rewire

Hello, I have a friend that just got an apartment and wants to rewire a light. Currently, there is a light in a hallway with a pullchain attached to it. How would I add a light switch to it? Thanks

Light rewire

If it's an apartment, I seriously doubt he is allowed to do any electrical work. Has he addressed this with the landlord?

Light rewire

Look into a wireless switch

Battery powered switch that sends a signal to a socket adapter screwed into the existing light
