light fixture removal problem

I am trying to remove the light fixture from a ceiling fan so I can replace the broken chain. I am stumped no these wire nuts. They don't unscrew and the things above them look like they should come apart too but they don't. Sorry for the vagueness but here are the pics. I have wacthched all these videos and people just "simply unscrew the wire nuts" grrr

The first ones are crimped and must be cut off if you need to remove them. You can replace them with standard twist on orange wire nuts.

The second ones will unplug. Maybe twist and unplug

Thanks for the feedback. I pushed and turned and pulled to the point I almost rippped the whole fan out of the wall. I am going to clip it. thanks again.

Picture #1: those are definitely crimped on connectors, as stated. Picture #2: Those certainly look like "bullet connectors" which should just twist and unplug. Maybe they won't. IF you have gone this far, you seem to have enough skills to cut, remove, and replace wiring as needed. Good Luck, David

thanks thurnman. It might be one of those situations where a friend comes over and does it in one second, making me look like a dope, but I tried for about an hour to get those things apart. I am tapping out and cutting them.
